Where will nsfw game creators go now that itch.io has "changed"?

I feel like most of the community on itch was either there for horror games or nsfw games? Im curious on what gamedevs will do or go now that itch has changed. They cant really go to steam sense itch was sorta the free way to post. Also how are players or you reacting to this?

No idea but it would be hilarious if they did something like sell t-shirts, candles, stickers on Etsy or something and then give you a free download of the games

Well I've seen the trick on a car Restoration show. At a car show they had a white t-shirt and a sign that said "t-shirt $20000 comes with a free car"

So not an original idea by me but it's what made me laugh when I read the post

Now that I think about it the sticker or t-shirt could just have a printed on qr code to download the thing, one time use qr code might work if that's a thing ... And if it let you upload something to the qr code afterwards so the next lesson to try and use it would get something else. No one would even know lol

And illegal gambling. The poker game is free to play, but you need to spend $20 to reserve the seat. Reservations last till you run out of chips.

They already re-indexed NSFW games that are free & are working to find alternative payment processors for the paid ones. This is less a itch.io problem & more a Visa/Mastercard problem since even Steam are powerless against them.

No, it's their problem. Passing the buck up the chain doesn't help the NSFW game developers, it's trying to save face for a cowardly corporation, itch aren't your friend.

They’ll have to start performing on OnlyFans and then start up a PG persona on YouTube with their linktree in the bio and keep making subtle references to “spicy content”.

While they’re getting slapped with tentacles they’ll have their game playing in the background and when someone asks about it they’ll take out their ballgag and explain they’re sorry but they’re unable to distribute it to them.

Based on what Steam did, isn't uh, specific categories of NSFW that were removed? Or has itch gone 100% no NSFW?
