Now that's a play on words, great job.

I think now that I've had a bit of time for the adjusted input methods, I think you'd do well to have it visual feedback on if you're going for the row or column, skip letters, and flow in the direction of the clue.

Using arrow keys to change those would also be useful. Having deleting letters in a more sensical way would also help.
