Could you be coming down with a plain old fashioned cold? That can really stuff up all the other things, particularly if you haven't had one for a while.
I've made some progress on sorting my sewing room. Unfortunately the shelves I was hoping to use inside the cupboard won't work - the shelves are the right size, but once assembled I won't have room to manoeuvre them in. I have a couple more shelves to assemble and can then start putting more things away.
I'm behind where I would like to be, but I think I can get all the boxes cleared from the lounge room and tidy up the worst of the empty box collection before the rental inspection tomorrow. It is nice having the lounge room more clear and open again, but I need to move all the furniture now that I'm not having to accomodate a wall of boxes.
No, it's a built in and the framing for the doors reduces the size of the opening slightly. Plus they have gone for the cheapest possible wardrobe insert, which is a single shelf with hanging rail below it, and it has a divider panel in the middle to provide support to the shelf which also reduces the options for what you can put in there.
Want to get away with the wife for a few days, not that familiar with the outskirts of Melbourne. Anyone know any good spots where mushrooms might still be in season? Is mount Dandenong any good for that?
Yeah, that'd definitely do it. The times I've been stressed out on long PT trips (excluding delays, bad weather, external factors), it's often been because of the others on the bus or train and my own often subconscious tension/discomfort
Regardless of whether you broke it or not, just immobilising it by taping it to the toe next to it would help. If it is broken, moving it around will impede its healing.
Drs won't do too much for a broken toe unless it's the big toe. 99% sure I broke mine stubbing it against the camphor chest I have, but I just taped it to the toe next to it for a few weeks/months, and it healed okay (there's still a bump either side but it works lol).
My neighbour's dog is howling its little brains out and I can't understand why they're letting this noise continue. I've never heard it do this before. Either way, it's bloody annoying when I'm trying to work. Headphones on!
I have somehow managed to lose a sewing machine. I know it is here somewhere, but I'm a bit perplexed about where given I brought it up seperately and put it in the sewing room myself.
The other day I went through bags of baby clothes. They were in vac sealed bags and out of the way but thought it was time to get rid of them. I kept a couple of things and some crochet blankets my sister made.
Now I find out how many bags I can fit in my car and how many attempts to reverse my car out of the yard without hitting the gate.
That's just my own definition, really, and the song can meet all or just one of those points. I don't like Nicki as a person, she's awful, and I don't like her other songs. I do listen to the genre though.
I mean, I love Anaconda so much I can sing it off by heart ๐ the music video is hot AF as well
Sewing machine has been located. Exactly where I thought it should be, in a place I had looked multiple times. It was in a bag and I thought it was something else but didn't open to check.

Justice on Trial. J Judith Sheindlin re-enacts and editorialises some famous and some not so famous court cases that question the morality of the justice system.
I should watch the Defiant Ones. I havenโt seen that one. I watched The Deer Hunter yesterday for the second time. It won 5 academy awards and I canโt figure out why., maybe the US was still grappling with the aftermath of the war in Vietnam and the story touched that nerve. But my god itโs WAY too long. The wedding scene alone is almost an hour long .
It worked in a way. It'll take another week or 2 to break out of the habit of waking up, but I fell immediately back to sleep when I did wake up.
Success.
13 months. Unreal.
yay ๐
"... It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah.."
Today has been awful. Which is pretty rare for me to say honestly.
I want to go back to bed and not wake up until tomorrow.
Also we have some newbies to the crew above.
Looks like Bill escaped!
It would be Ted, he's always on the look out for a better family.
Could you be coming down with a plain old fashioned cold? That can really stuff up all the other things, particularly if you haven't had one for a while.
Could very well be. I've got a pizza in the oven. Time for a bath, some food and reading in bed till I pass out.
a photo from my beach walk on Sunday
Ooh glassy!
If you wanted to be cruel turn that into a jigsaw puzzle and give it to someone you don't like.
๐
I love how there is a dark reflection and a light reflection, an effect which I did not see irl
Much like my soul
Those clouds are so beautiful and moody!

Not the kind of cupboard you can take the doors off of?

yeah, I've been trying to tackle the same problem myself
I am the (Lobster) Queen of the North Tower. I thought I was relatively sunsmart yesterday but evidently not...
Have been watching some military ships come into Cairns, one from NZ and one from the US.
It was only a matter of time before they had a go at us.
Happy Gilmore 2. It was not good but I did enjoy it.
Want to get away with the wife for a few days, not that familiar with the outskirts of Melbourne. Anyone know any good spots where mushrooms might still be in season? Is mount Dandenong any good for that?
I hear a random Asian grocer in mountglenwaverley has some delicious wild mushrooms!
Look up Trentham and Mount Macedon. It's a bit late in the season for those kind of mushrooms, but you might get lucky. Nice bushwalking though.
There's a little place called Woolworths. Heaps to choose from. Prices are variable.
Rumour said Glen Waverley has the best
๐คซ That's racist
๐ง
Aldi's $4 bottle of plonk. Pretty good. 5/5 drunken rants. ๐
Aldi plonk is great for the price, currently drinking a "the standing people" pinot noir from there, not bad
Oh I've had some shit from there. I will need to try your recommendation now. Thanks.
South Point anything is pretty solid for the price point!
I was very surprised
I'd drink that ๐
Highly recommend. hiccup
is it worth while using a glass or can I just drink from the bottle like I normally do
Oh shit yeah. Save on dishes. Keep it beside your bed.
already do ๐
Hahaha.
It's an all rounder.
Well that backfired.
I reduced my anti dep dose and did in fact get somewhat better sleep. Except today I feel like utter shit.
Will try this again on the weekend and see what happens.
People on the bus?
that could very well be
forced proximity to strangers can be stressful
Yeah, that'd definitely do it. The times I've been stressed out on long PT trips (excluding delays, bad weather, external factors), it's often been because of the others on the bus or train and my own often subconscious tension/discomfort
I have no idea, same with an airplane.
Fuck buses. I have walked over an hour to avoid catching one.
Got in a little parma vs. parmi match w/ the butcher yesterday.
It was a stalemate. I shoulda won that.
Losing my touch.
You've let the whole of Melbourne down ๐
There were only 2 parmas left.. I didn't yield, but I had to agree to disagree.
I'm sorry Melbourne :(
We will forgive you because we love you โค๏ธ
Do the potato cake vs scallop one next time
A butcher should be an authority on such topics, so you picked a hard opponent
Fuck me carpet glue is nasty stuff. They should not be allowed to use it in a building while it is open.
Im close to a food coma at the moment, have to go back to work tomorrow though.
I tried to put on my boots and it wasnโt easy and Im not even sure I could walk with them on with my toe still swollen and very uncomfortable.
Can't recall if you did or not, but have you had an x-ray?
Nope, didnโt have any x-ray, doctor didnโt seem to think I needed one.
Regardless of whether you broke it or not, just immobilising it by taping it to the toe next to it would help. If it is broken, moving it around will impede its healing.

This is just my anecdotal experience.
Ah ok. Just dealing also with a lifted toenail issue. Only a minor and small one apparently so Iโve had to put dressing on.
Think part of the dressing is too fat as well because of the padding and too long.
I really hope itโs not broke or fractured.
I guess if you can bend the toe it's probably not broken. Could still be fractured though.
Most likely it's just a bad bump that needs more time to heal.
I can still bend it. I have the other problem of it healing from lightly lifted toe nail.
Only minor but there was a little bit of a tear.
you could have injured a tendon or ligament as well
Icing it up forgot to do that.
sandals?
Probably not for work. Think itโs itโs an OHS issue as well.
I also have the problem of only owning boots.
Keep an eye on it for any infection - that can be a problem in fingers and toes, and you need to get onto it quickly
Oh and I did apply more betadine just incase.
I changed my dressing yesterday, it looked ok, no signs of redness, just swollen from what I could see.
My neighbour's dog is howling its little brains out and I can't understand why they're letting this noise continue. I've never heard it do this before. Either way, it's bloody annoying when I'm trying to work. Headphones on!
Did something happen to the neighbour? Or are they just out?
I have somehow managed to lose a sewing machine. I know it is here somewhere, but I'm a bit perplexed about where given I brought it up seperately and put it in the sewing room myself.
Behind the sofa cushions.
Check your pockets
I checked and it turns out I don't have any. Maybe I could make myself some, if I only I had a sewing machine...
You must be sew sad ๐ญ
Maybe Mr Woof is using it?
Maybe making himself a guard uniform.
Itโll be in the last place you look.
Goodnight from the furry gremlin household โค๏ธ
Also I have a band audition Friday. Yeeha.
The other day I went through bags of baby clothes. They were in vac sealed bags and out of the way but thought it was time to get rid of them. I kept a couple of things and some crochet blankets my sister made.

Reverse your car into the driveway next time.
Problem solved!!
It's not in the driveway, it's in the yard. I think I will reverse it in though on the way back.

In other news, what's your guilty pleasure song?
Mine in Anaconda by Nicki Minaj lol
Gangsters Paradise hehe does that count?

I like The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson when I hear it on the radio. Good beat by a creepy cunt.
Do they still play that song on the radio? This is a station I need to listen to!
Brian FM
Yessss! That's a great guilty pleasure song!!

I think it became famous because of the russian roulette scenes, no other reason
