Given that you didn't specify any alternatives, I can vouch for Kagi. It has been working very well and they also have a family plan.

duckduckgo or ecosia for a free alternative.

i haven't used ecosia enough to endorse it but it seems good. duckduckgo is pretty good with results imo, and the bangs make it really useful.

Kagi also has bangs, I used DDG for a year until I switched to Kagi because it just gives better result. The only issue is searching in my native language and finding Vzech websites, but I can just quickly hop to DDG or Ecosia and try there.

well as a paid service I would hope it gives better results, so that's great. i keep thinking about starting Kagi but still feels way too expensive. i wish they had regional prices; i can see how it's viable for an American or a well off country but for me it's not worth it ... yet, at least.

I am not sure how, but my friend who created the family is using a country with better price (I think 10%) because of the currency conversion. Can't remember which, but it is not much anyway.

I've tried Kagi a few times and have been unimpressed. All it needs to be is better than Google, which is an extremely low bar.

Heads-up: You can disable the LLM response by typing -ai at the end of your searches.

...ot don't give them the search in the first place. Stop giving them your traffic.
