Moderator actions from mod on external instance are reversed
My other user - @[email protected] - is the only mod of the community [email protected].
I've tried to appoint other moderators and sticky threads, and it works on my local instance but doesn't show up when I log into lemmy.world using this account.
And then after something like 12 hours the appointment is reversed on the external instance as well, so the feddit.dk account is yet again the only mod.
- This seems like a bug with federation
- Would it be possible for you to add this account as a mod, so I can use that instead of the external account?
I would do this myseld, but, well, it doesn't work.
Moderation from other instances is finicky, as you can see.
The general recommendation is to mod from local accounts.
Yes, that's why I'm requesting someone adding this account as a mod :)
Your .world account is now a mod. I made it the "top" mod so you should have no trouble controlling the community.
