Why the fuck does Tennessee think they have a damned thing to say about new York? Is their leaching federal tax dollars not enough? Get back to begging for New York scraps you damn country music Hicks

sh.itjust.works

Just to clarify, TN is barely a net contributor to the federal budget. They are a net contributor by $4 billion, NY state is a net contributor of $89 billion.

27

Hey now at least it shows that against all odds TN is at least a vaguely functional state. It's not a Mississippi where it's dead in the water or Idaho where it has some potential but would require billions in infrastructure improvements alone.

These guys are so ready to jump on this that I think they are forgetting to actually think about what they are saying. I don't think they are ready for what could happen if they try to deport this man. They would just create a martyr.

They would just create a martyr.

Which would lead to some civil unrest and they would just start shooting at people using live ammo.

I am afraid they are perfectly ready for that.

53

There are a growing number of people that are truly believing that some sort of armed resistance is what is needed. But, who wants to be the first to take up arms (or otherwise show a violent resistance)?

The US government and military have shown that they have no qualms about violently suppressing peaceful protests. Imagine what they would do to those that showed even an inkling of violence. Those who stand up first would be nothing but cannon fodder.

Who wants to be the first? To be martyred? There aren’t enough people who have nothing else left to lose. Not yet.

I’m afraid you’re not even bothering to prepare for that.

Me? No, I am not. But considering there is an ocean between me and United states, I suspect I wouldn't be big help, prepared or not.

The person you are replying to said they are not in the US. @14th_cylon, I must apologize for my compatriot's lack of geographic awareness.

This means "I don't care where the fuck you are at, you can come on over and fight fascism if you want, we cool"

1

For the ones that are bloodthirsty, absolutely. But with how pissed off people are right now I don't expect us to just go quietly into the night as they start shooting people. And I don't think they are ready for those consequences.

4

Why would they care? It's not the first red line they'd have crossed. Hell, it's not even the tenth one this year. This is their new normal, and they aren't going to stop until we all collectively stand up and make them stop.

15

Deporting a US Citizen for saying things the Congressman doesn't like. Remind me when was American this "great"?

25

Ah yes, Tennessee. The only place that should be deciding the merit of democratic elections in NYC.

18

Republicans like state rights when it means preventing women from accessing healthcare. They hate state rights when it involves mayoral races in a different state. Ogles looks weak and his state looks uneducated.

10

I wonder what it's gonna be like when they get rid of everyone brown and it's only pasty old white guys running for office. How quickly will they turn on each other?

3
lemmy.world

I call for Andy Ogles to get deported to mars on a leaky space craft. So there. I call him "Little Trump". SO DOUBLE THERE You inbred inebriate.

Why not send them with a titan to the bottom of the ocean. Like the some he is

2

I wonder with today’s SC ruling if they actually are going to try and deport him. From what I understand that would now be an actual option, fucked up as it is.

7

People should start publicly calling for shitgobblers like him to be deported. And then deport him.

6

new strategy, lets deport the opposition...(facepalm) that would seriously mark the end of democracy for the US

6

Man, the establishment and the zionist are so mad about this, this wasn't even a general but a primary

5

Politicians willing to say/do anything to stay in the news and get his voter remember his name.

If they do that, time for mass protests, surround ICE headquarters and prevent anyone from entering or leaving until he is returned to the United States and allowed to run for office.

4

MAGA pricks and they are scared of Mamdani's potential success to actually do something "For the People."

2

Just another crack summing up to the million ones that are already there.
