That usage data is neat! Also really fucking creepy. I hate that we’ve normalized just whole-hog spying on people.
I mean, from a game improvement standpoint you'd want them to have analytics. Seeing how other people use your game doesn't seem the most unreasonable thing ever to me.
I’ve created this innovative new technology: it’s called a survey.
they can have a death map showing where players die the most for example ... Something difficult to acquire via a survey
It's opt-in if i remember well and you can avoid sharing it with 1 click in the options.
For the devs, that help them a lot to tune the difficulty of the game in some sectors and find what to improve... For once it's not to sell you something, just to improve our experience.
My gf and I are going to be playing this on PS5, really looking forward to the console release :)
