I'm planning on installing one on my bike.

I see many people here interested in what it is actually used for

Motorn driver en luftseparationsenhet (ASU) som kondenserar atmosfärisk luft så att syre och kväve separeras till rena gaser som kan användas i ståltillverkningsprocessen.

Which DeepL loosely translates to

The engine drives an air separation unit (ASU) that condenses atmospheric air to separate oxygen and nitrogen into clean gases that can be used in the steelmaking process.

The motor is going to a steelwork in India.

Big motor means big conductor means exponentially less resistive losses. More volume to disappate heat. Big motor has more core laminations which means less reactive losses.

Big motor is very expensive.

From the article: The customer is a factory in India.

It is apparently saving the energy equivalent to 10 000 cars for a year.

7

The article says its for an "air-separation-unit", "luftseparationsenhet". For a steel factory in india

It’ll last 25 years minimum, save 57,000,000 kronor (~6,000,000 usd), and reduce co2 generation equivalent to 10,000 cars. Neat!

I don't understand if it's 10,000 over calculated years (i.e. a bit more than one per day) or if it's 10,000 cars per year (i.e. 250,000 in total). I'm guessing the later

Motorn ska ha en garanterad livslängd på över 25 år. /../ den nya verkningsgraden kommer att göra att 45 000 ton utsläpp av koldioxid undviks, vilket kan jämföras med att ta bort 10 000 bilar från vägarna under ett år.

2

I also read it as the total CO2 emission reduction over its lifetime is 45000 tons which equates to the emissions of 10000 cars for one year, but the article leaves it a bit ambiguous.
