Why on earth should Zelensky do that? He knows about how important secrecy and security is. Telling Trump about this would be akin to advertize it on billboards in Moscow.

Why on earth should Zelensky do that?

he should not and without reading the article i am pretty sure that is not what it suggests. it illustrates how untrustworthy the former ally (the word leader was used in the past) of the free world is.

america was called both and it is not anymore. yes. the results of its efforts were at times dubious, and its ideological position was often clouded with its selfish interest, but complaining about propaganda and countering with propaganda from the opposite direction is not going to move the discussion anywhere

23

But it is propaganda to say America was never a world leader nor involved in any free world.

There is evidence of both, even if it is less the case now.

The US was absolutely the world leader after WW2. The entire system for global trade and finance has been designed by and around the US, and everybody played ball.

Obviously "leader of the free world" should come with some annotations about what they mean with "freedom", and the US has absolutely been complicit in overthrowing some democracies and supporting dictatorships, but it's indisputable that they've had a position of leadership among free and democratic countries; the US did often set the standard, and got what they wanted.

And for a long time, the things they wanted weren't always just for the good of the US, but good for many countries and possibly the world, at least from some perspective. The US has pressured many other colonial powers to release their colonies, for example.

Of course they were also often wrong, and often disastrously so, but that rarely hurt their position of leadership. Until now. Actually until Bush started the Iraq war; that was the first real dent in US credibility. Obama did a lot to repair it, and then Trump flushed it down the toilet.

I wonder tho, did no cia boots on the ground get a whiff of such an operation apparently prepared for around 18months?

Even if Trump wasn't a walking liability, why tell any more people than necessary? Everyone that knows is a potential leak no matter who they are

did no cia boots on the ground get a whiff

You're referring to the current CIA...??

😂 🤣

They're too busy spying on Americans to waste resources in Europe.

14

Not after TACO Orange Chicken leaked all those CIA operatives locations to putin, after which they died in the field.

Good. Don't tell us shit. It makes the news that much more glorious knowing the Ukrainians are a group of bad mother(shut yo mouth) who can pull off Andor type shit.

71

Just tell Pete Hegseth's wife and the Russian hackers can read about it in The Atlantic.

7

He's trying to fix the peace talks all on his own while undermining the EU.

Him not getting informed while EU members do would make him very upset.

3

I don't see why the US should be informed?

There shouldn't be any US equipment in the area, why bother including anyone who doesn't need to know?

46

Exactly. The US isn't engaged in war with anyone as far as I know (currently). They might provide some material support to a trusted ally but they are not at war with Russia.

That’s weird. Wonder if it’s related to the Russian/Ukrainian peace negotiation that Ukraine wasn’t invited to.

28
pawb.social

It's probably related to our complete inability to keep secrets secret right now

7
lemm.ee

Hard to keep secrets when the President is openly selling them to anyone who is buying.

3

Good. Single him out as the one not being informed.

Yes, others were kept in the dark too. But focus on the little rape pig being kept in the dark. Make TACO seethe until that crusty heart gives out.

24

Smartest possible move on their part. Trump is dangerous and can’t be trusted not to tell Putin.

15

The title stating the obvious concerning the felon not being informed is weird, but the article is a worthwhile read:

Some of the trucks were parked in Siberia, thousands of miles away from Ukraine, according to the report.

About 40 Russian military planes, including strategic bombers, were reportedly struck in the attack.

I cannot begin to imagine what a blow this is to Russia's crumbling air force. And the ingenuity of the attack (some of whose details are omitted in this article - though you may have read more about it in others) is phenomenal.

And don't forget this little tidbit - also a developing story:

Ukraine’s unprecedented drone attack on Russia comes as seven people were killed and 69 more injured after bridges collapsed in separate incidents across Russia.

I imagine the pending defenestrations of some Russian officials might be kept secret.

15

Another headline said the opposite. But I find this more likely.

Trump: Excuse me, Vlad. I just learned about something you'll want to know about.

10

Demented grandpa is just pissed because he has no friends. Slava Ukraine!
