Yeah, I remember seeing that Amazon was putting small percentage off items to make sure they dropped below free shipping charges as well. Basically if it was going to cost them $5 to ship it, and it was only $3 over, they'd give you $3.01 off in a sale to get it under.
Edit: The Converse website isn't as scummy as Journeys, I ordered from them. They had 15% of your first order. With rainbow laces it came to $70.72 shipped.
Nope, no option for that. I messed with the site for a decent amount of time to see if I could work the discount to my advantage before jumping to the actual Converse site.

To add insult to injury, there is nothing on the site under $10 to kick the total over $75 and actually save some money. I fucking hate corporations.
They know. They did this on purpose.

Yep, this is blatantly evil.

It should be $68, $72 may actually be after tax. Not 100% sure.
Update: They were $70.72 shipped.
Tis the time of ripoffs, just as our glorious leader intended.
What were you expecting?
Honestly a pair of laces to kick the price up, that's what we used to do in this situation. But now they don't list laces online.
Tale as old as time
Can you add a tip?
