Compare the two apart from their views and ask who would make a better impression. He is a White man. She is a Puerto Rican woman. He is married with children. She is married without children. He was in the US Marines. She was never in the military. He is 6'2". She is 5'4". Height will make a difference during a debate. Note that fashion models are tall.
Those are some of the criteria. Military service indicates patriotism and courage. Having children indicates a family man. Some people will view a White man more favorably.
