Right? At that age, they’re old enough to understand what they’re seeing, but not old enough to dismiss it as “just a movie”.
Hmm... I am pretty sure at 11 years old I watched several R rated films, the ones that come to my mind are Saw, Scream, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club etc.
I don't think I have ever been scared about a movie or not being able to distinguish between real life and a film.
