US immigration officials look to expand social media data collection

Orange Gestapo "Homeland Security" has opened up a 60 day comment period for plans to collect Social Media accounts for anyone with a Visa or Greencard.

Leave feedback, though I'm highly doubtful it will make any difference.

Reminder, if you're not a citizen they can hold you indefinitely until they get in, power or password.

If you are a citizen, they will seize your phone. Question of access remains, but they will just keep it.

Just for some flavor, lots of people are convicted every day for crimes because they posted about it.

When you fill DS-160 to apply for a visa you have to fill in your social media handles. Is this for those on ESTA?

For visitors yeah it already exists. I think what they want to do now is collect from people who are already inside the US, like applying for permanent residency, etc.
