Got any story ideas to work on in when NaNoWriMo rolls around again in 7 months?
The one time I tried, which was 20 years ago, family medical events forced me away from it. Every year since then I've either forgotten or have been busy, but this year looks good.
The homebrew D&D campaign I've been running for several years has a world-scale plot the players are getting close to resolving. Nothing earthshakingly original about the overall plot - typical evil empire trying to conquer the world - but I've created a lot of episodic adventures, on a background of local cultures and a layered ancient history that's been keeping the players interested, and there's definitely enough material for a novel. So why not?
So is anybody else doing any advance thinking about their project?
I want to squonk all the magical worlds together to write them into a single story.
Harry Potter, Waverly Place, Hogwarts Legacy, Wednesday, Narnia, Albion (Fable), Neverland, Wonderland.
Basically (with the exception of Fable) worlds that we know cross over with our world so that -- in theory -- can all exist in our world at the same time. And Fable because -- you know -- why not?
Not sure what the story would be just yet, but it seems like a reasonable place to create a single plot of uniting the worlds for some reason.
As long as Spock doesn't die I'm good with it!
To be honest, I wasn't planning on Spock being in it at all -- it's set in the current time period (2022 - 2025 ish), and on Earth (even if it's not our Earth, with Wonderland, Narnia, Albion and Neverland and so on) .
But now you've set that specific rule I kind of want to find a way to break it. (Call it the demon in me -- mwahahaha!!!!)
(Sorry).
