Israel’s Ramadan massacre obliterates any remaining western claims of moral leadership
At 2:20am on Tuesday local time in the Gaza Strip, Washington inaugurated a new era in world politics. This was the moment Israel timed its attacks on dozens of targets in the enclave to coincide with suhoor, the predawn meal eaten by Muslims in preparation for a day of fasting.
The timing was designed to inflict maximum civilian casualties, as families across Gaza gathered to eat and pray during the holy month of Ramadan, even if they had little or no food to consume.
US President Donald Trump thus signalled a new era in global affairs by giving his consent for a wave of attacks that broke every aspect of the ceasefire deal, signed in the presence of international guarantors. In one act, Trump turned the West that his nation claims to lead into the Wild West.
From this moment on, no treaty, ceasefire or international agreement that the US signs is worth the paper it is printed on.

I don't think there's any number of palestinian deaths that will convince american politicians that they're in the wrong. Anyone who believes the US and it's close allies are moral leaders have not been paying attention.
The US is a white supremacist, xenophobic state. Those in power actively promote this, they think it is good to give "Israel" (brown) baby killing missiles. "Israel" is their "friend", you see, just like apartheid South Africa, but far more useful for destroying "enemies" (brown children in other countries) due to its location.
The US itself was founded on settler colonial genocide and chattel slavery. The only reckoning it has evet had about this was its civil war, but this process was left incomplete. It retains most of its settler culture.
Not that most of America will know :/
Ok, yeah... But how many times can the supposed "moral leadership" be destroyed? I'm pretty sure it's been dead for decades if it was ever meaningfully alive. (no it wasn't)
But campists assured us the Trump ceasefire is legit this time. Backed up by other Muslim nations and everything!
Trustworthy Trump always makes good on his promises!
What is more surprising is that(allegedly?) Egypt and Qatar also gave guarantees for this ceasefire but when Israel started bombing they instantly ditched their duty as border guards.
