I opened my microwave just as the time ended, resulting in no "done beep".
We bought a new microwave last year and I haven't been able to time it just right with this one yet, it's been driving me nuts. The previous one we had was fairly easy to accomplish this feat on, which gave me an inflated microwave-opening ego. However, this one commonly taunted me with a blinking "00:01" after each attempt. No longer! I have finally conquered this beast.
I enjoyed the reheated corned beef and cabbage fractionally more than I would have otherwise.

Just so you know, most microwaves have a way to disable the beep altogether. For instance, on mine, you long press the number 2.
But then I don't get the adrenaline rush of beating the microwave.

Start, then open the door before the beep.
While cheats are enabled, all the achievements will be disabled.
Opening the microwave door while it is still running causes the electricity to be dumped to ground in micro switches located behind the panel. This saves you but will kill the switches prematurely.
I like saving the world by pressing stop at 0:00 on the microwave.
