Somewhat unrelated….I saw this post just now, opened another app and immediately saw an Amazon ad for this. :/

Maybe a coincidence, but now I’m worried about how Lemmy or Voyager is using data.

Oh weird! I'd be more suspicious of my phone permissions than Voyager/Lemmy, but s healthy degree of skepticism top to bottom is probably always in order.

Voyager has no analytics or even servers at all. And the cool thing is you don’t have to take my word for it: Voyagers builds are reproducible and fdroid verifies a release is built from a given git sha! It’s pretty cool :)

Yeah, thanks for the info! I really didn’t think Lemmy or Voyager was the problem. It’s probably just a coincidence, but because that type of stuff happens so often in other apps, it made me nervous.
