I feel like the prevalence of circumcision in this age has a lot more to do with cultural inertia than any sort of religious doctrine or political leanings.

Maybe society could consider that cutting off part of babies’ dicks who can’t give consent isn’t necessarily something we should “just do”?

Yea, my wife and I decided to have our son circumcised. He's 14 now. If I had a chance to re-do it, i would choose to not have it done. At the time it just seemed like the normal thing to do. Sorry son. 😕

I think it's mostly because "that's what happened to me" and "what about their future spouse"

Most of my male friends growing up were from liberal families and nearly all of them had their genitals mutilated at birth. It's a USA thing, because of that cornflake guy.
