Another comparison that we don't often talk about is how during the Nazi period there was also opposition to vaccinations.
It was bound to happen. The US almost had a nazi takeover at that time and they just sweeped it under the rug, then brought in more scientist nazis out of fear of missing out on advanced technology.
Also the German Nazis were literally taking notes on the Jim Crow South in the USA for inspiration.
