Olympus Has Fallen
::: spoiler Context
Reddit is purging NSFW subs as well as trans-related subreddits
And a screenshot of the post on Reddit, from which the meme is quoting:
Brace for Rexxit 2.0. This is not drill! Granted, most of the Redfugees will be going to Lemmynsfw (I helped by dropping a link in, we'll see if that lasts) but as long as we get them out... I suppose you could call it missionary position work.

Ask Tumblr.
Ask Betamax
Ask HD dvd
HDDVD never had a porn ban. It died because Sony was selling PS3s at a loss.
My bad, I thought I remembered porn chose Blu ray.
Ugh they could have named it MASTER-Betas!
Tumblr is still populated and widely used
Just like your mom
They also let porn back on Tumblr
Hopefully LemmyNSFW and Blahaj can handle the additional traffic. Reddit's loss, our gain.
I hope users know that Lemmy exists. Reddit suppresses discussion of alternatives and usually bans links. Word-of-mouth is slower but it will get there eventually.
It can vary. lemmy.world and join-lemmy links are often removed, to the point I think some subs flag them automatically. Links to other instances see solid. I just checked and I have made a dozen posts on Reddit with links to Lemmy in the last day and they are all still up. I will push my luck too far soon though, I'm sure.
Discuss.online isn't safe anymore
Interesting. feddit.uk isn't causing issues, yet.
Maybe because it is more of a drop in replacement for American users.
Oh indeed. We aren't exactly a threat.
Actually, reddit is not coming. That's kinda the whole problem outlined above.
Hi-ooooooo!
First they will come. Then the second coming will occur.
Brilliant! Deserves its own thread here.
It feels like the porn bans may be misdirection - it's the quiet shanking during the prison riot you have to keep an eye out for:
First they came for r/Discuit...
Wait a sec, I thought Discuit had been banned for a while now? I remember discussing it with a Discuit member on /r/RedditAlternatives
I don't know, never visited.
Wow this recent news just keeps on giving.
What was that sub for?
Talking about Discuit. A Reddit alternative.
Is there a way to make it look like old.reddit view.
Discuit? No idea.
You can here:

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing
the worldonline platformshe didn't existthey didn't need nsfw contentThat pussy is out of the sack and can't be stuffed back in.
“Missionary position work” is brilliant, btw.
You're welcome.
May lead to getting doorslammed.
what's a reddit? is this like myspace?
It's like a digg.
I wondered where some of my favourite Reddits had gone. Luckily they returned, now I can get back to discussing and sharing serious topics with other people online in a civilised manner.
Looks around cautiously
unzips 🤣
Was a glitch according to an admin. They are restoring the subs.
Yeah.... "A glitch".
Most likely a test run to see how significant the response would be, and an indicator of where things are going.
Olympus Hasn't Fallen! This was indeed a drill. However, we learn with every drill.
Im probably going to regret this but what is r/rule34?
If it exists, there is porn of it. If there isn't, there will be.
That second half is rule 35 actually
Good to know. Thanks
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_34
Or you can Google Image search it.
Not today Satan.
Does anyone wank to threats to US president? or is that too pervy for interwebs?
Rule 34 suggests there is someone out there wanking to everything you can think of.
Olympus? Babylon, at best.
Speaking of porn, what happened to r/celebnsfw? Only one mod posts, can’t scroll far, but if you search, old posts are there.
I've been wondering this for a while.
Please! He's probably the only person fit for the job.
