This, if you must use windows get pro so you can just use winget

I didn't realize winget was exclusive to Pro. I ran Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 Pro from launch day until I stopped using Windows altogether last year. A Windows 7 Home Premium license was significantly more expensive after Windows 8 launched at 40 bucks, and I needed an OS for my new gaming rig.

"What is my purpose?"

"None. You don't get executed ever because the very first thing I do upon getting a new computer is boot into UEFI and install Linux."

Installed Vivaldi and Zen Browser. Desactivated EDGE as the next task.

Why? If you must use Chromium, why not Vivaldi or something?

That isn't a reason for liking something...

Using Edge daily. I like it, it's comfy, it doesn't hog all resources like chrome.

Idk what optimizations Microsoft stacked on top of Chromium, but Edge is effectively Chrome. It’s based on the same code as Chrome. Unless Microsoft managed to fix Chrome in some way Google couldn’t.

I disagree. Edge is an acceptable browser if you just want a browser. This meme stems from the days of Internet Explorer and for IE it was valid. IE was a subpar browser at the time. It failed to do the bare minimum, like keep up with w3 standards.

Before I learned about containers in Firefox, Edge was my secondary browser (to log into second accounts)

Agree, Edge has always performed well for me personally, especially at work. At least it didn’t eat all the RAM like Chrome.

Prefer Firefox overall tbf.
