Does something like Launchy widget drain thr battery excessively?
I'm working with limited battery duration but Launchy would be immensely useful for my home screens. I don't want to use it, though, if it is heavy on the battery.

I'm going with no, it shouldn't be a big drain. You can take a look at the task manager and get an idea of its relative power usage.
