This has been my issue with how much "technical death metal" gets pushed lately. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of bands who get stuck with that moniker who are really great because they write great music, BUT it seems like for every really good progressive metal band there are 10,000 terrible bands being hailed as "virtuosos" because they release these albums that sound like a series of unrelated guitar exercises lol
Everyone knows that the harder a song is to play, the better the song is. That's what The Beatles suck so bad.
Same with Oasis
