My dad says he's never replaced the battery in it. We saw this in a home video and laughed when we found the still uses it 40 years later.

That is an awesome bit of kit! Amazing that it has non-volatile memory for the five accounts even though it's that old.
I didn't even realize that, I wonder what is listed in those amounts. Time to go get the calculator.
Pretty sure I used that same one to keep my accounts balanced in the mid/late 80's.
It had a "permanent" memory of your account balance.
