In Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) made a public declaration that The Satanic Temple will not have any part in the state’s program.
“Some have said that if you do a school chaplain program that, somehow, you’re going to have satanists running around in all our schools. We’re not playing those games in Florida,” DeSantis said in August, according to the Florida Phoenix.
“That is not a religion. That is not qualified to be able to participate in this. So, we’re going to be using common sense when it comes to this. You don’t have to worry about it,” he added.

Christianity as practiced in the US isn’t a real religion either. They reject every tenet stipulated by their own holy book. Fake anti-Jesus cultists, the whole lot of them.

I mean, this church has fundamentally changed many people’s philosophies and lives. It’s not just a loophole, it a legitimate philosophy with beliefs and community… a religion, with a notable following, a protected niche absolutely as the founders intended even with all their awful biases.
It's only a matter of time until we read Gorsuch giving a history and tradition argument that references the Salem witch trials as proof that the first amendment was only meant to be read as applying to Christianity. Thomas will file a concurrence nobody asked for explaining the legal basis for 'internment' camps for non believers with a footnote claiming that trial by drowning is totally legal actually.
