I did my daughter's ponytail
I did my daughter's ponytail, unprompted, much to my wife's surprise. She loved it and I felt like I was taking a zen garden.
She needed to redo my work but, was still proud of myself.

Watch a couple YouTube videos and see if you can get it perfect.
I'm a dad and a textile artist who's woven many baskets and loves braiding and plaiting but I am total shit when it comes to hair. There's a disconnect between knowing how and doing so. As well as a hair/string unequivalency.
Apologies if this comment isn't dull enough.
I'm a little ashamed that this thought never occured to me.
I did this and now I do my wives hair
Good work! Next level is simple braid. I (dad) did my daughter's hair pretty much every day for years before she was old enough to brush it and choose her own style
