Gwenview, Elisa, Konqueror and KRDC added to the list of adoptable apps

You can use Gwenview to view and do basic edits to images, Elisa is a sleek music player, Konqueror is KDE's classic file and web browser, and KRDC allows you to visit and use remote in a windows of your local desktop.

This post made me skip a beat. For a moment there, I thought it meant Gwenview and Krdc are unmaintained and looking for new maintainers…

When oh when can we adopt KFloppy? It's the only KDE app that matters! Obviously a joke but I do wish the app was functional.

Funnily, Konqueror is the first app out of the four to get adopted

Does it still use Webkit? I'd probably try it if it doesn't use Chromium.

Kind of, it uses QtWebEngine. At least that's the dependency on my system

It's a great app! Not all of it has been replaced, like the man:// and info:// kpart

It’s a great app!

It's a usability nightmare with a whole heap of random features thrown into it.

I get the UX issues but it's those features which is what add value to me sadly especially when it's integrated into one entity. I find dolphin substantially less flexible in a way that limits my workflow. I am not sure if a compromise exists between perfect UX and good functionality. The plugin architectural approach isn't working with KDE as the plugins need to be distribution managed.

You reached the end
