That's the truly dumb part about Mastodon not supporting quote boosts. People are going to do it anyway with screenshots, so it's just a bit waste of storage/bandwidth and doesn't do anything to actually connect people.
The assholes and morons are still on Twitter... ahem X... so for the quality mocking content you still have to go to the source through another source of course.
