So hulks can fly now

From the high command dispatch:

A large-scale, coordinated Automaton offensive has launched without warning.

Forward orbital observation posts confirm the rebuilt Jet Brigade is the vanguard of this assault. Unconfirmed reports indicate these formidable adversaries may exhibit new capabilities.

Helldivers: deploy to all systems under attack. Counter the offensive. Defend all affected planets, and prevent further territorial losses. Engage this high-risk threat with maximum aggression. Assess and neutralize any and all new tactical augmentations.

In an assault undoubtedly intended to deny our citizens the reconstruction of their destroyed homes, this unprovoked assault further evidences the enemy’s hardwired cowardice. It is a testament to their reliance on socialist deceit, rather than the true and righteous martial strength found only in a free and volunteer fighting force.

The intelligence gathered from these first encounters will be critical, and will ensure the Helldivers contain and punish this incursion with corresponding tenacity.

[Help, Prism Launcher

So first off if there’s a better community to post to I’ll take this post down and post over there

So a buddy of mine is getting a modded Minecraft server up and has some curse forge mods. As I’m away from my computer right now I thought I’d try to get it working on my steam deck. Did some research and the Prism launcher seemed to be the best way to go. So I got the game to boot with curse forge (no mods) and vanilla

Now some of his mods are server side and some are client side so I tried connecting to the server and it said “This server has mods that require forge to be installed on the client”, I’m assuming I got this because I’m booting through prisms curse forge and have no mods

So my question is, he has a code from curse forge that I can use to download his mods from curse forge but I’m not seeing that option on Prism

Planning to switch to Linux for my next PC

So all I know that the Linux mascot is a penguin and Arch users meme about using Arch. Jokes aside I’m planning on making to the jump to Linux as I’m planning on getting a tower PC. I recently got a steam deck and that kinda demystified the (unrealistic) expectation I had of Linux was all command line stuff and techno babble. This all very future oriented questions* as I haven’t even picked out hardware (probably gonna go prebuilt since I do not trust me) and there’s also the matter of saving up the money for a new PC.

As for my use case (cus I know some software is wonky on Linux compared to windows) it’s mostly between games running on steam, which most of my games play fine on the steam deck, and essays and note taking for my college classes, which I use libre office and obsidian (with excalidraw to hand write my notes) saved to my proton drive and also sync those documents between my surface laptop and home laptop

My ideal OS would be plug it in, let it do… things… and it’s ready to be a PC to install steam and stuff

But first question, as someone who isn’t tech inclined and tinkering is pretty much just a few VERY basic settings in the settings app on windows, so is there a Linux… idk what to call it, type? OS? Thing??? that runs out of the box without me having to install additional software manually or at least automatic setup wizards because like hardware, I do not trust me with setting it up. As for installing it after I wipe whatever computer I choose I assume I’m gonna have some OS installer on a USB and let it work its magic.

Second question, is there any specific hardware that works easier with Linux, I can’t really think of any examples cus with installers and updaters I just the computer handle it, like updating Nvidia stuff in the GeForce app for all I know it’s genuinely performing dark magic during the automated updates

Anyways I probably have way more questions that I have no idea I had, but to wrap up I’m not super tech inclined since I let automated stuff do its thang on windows (if the computer can manage and install it I’m gonna let it do that) and my pc mostly just plays games and do documents on libre office and obsidian

I hit the Expedition Rendezvous Points without taking the pictures, am I screwed?

I jumped around the rendezvous points without hitting the space station and forgot to take the pictures when playing earlier today. If I set my active quest to it, it says go to %planet% so I’m assuming this is a bug but I have no quest route in the galaxy map. I only visited the space station for the first rendezvous if that’s any help

Update: still no luck but looks like the rendezvous milestones autocompleted as I haven’t gotten to phase 5 rendezvous

Any mod recommendations that require a fresh save?

Like the title says, do you all have any good mods that require a new save. I'm starting the extended cut shivering isles mod and as it needs a fresh save are there any others while I nuke my character. I've had helgen reborn and civil war overhaul book marked for a while now but is there any others that are good

I also love legacy of the dragonborn so while not required it would be a huge plus if it was compatible with lotd

(Reliquary of Myth) Any mods to remove or change the visual effect of Boethias Embrace from the Ebony Mail

So I’m running Reliquary of Myth and decided to finally use the ebony mail but my issue is the black effect is very annoying and mods I’ve seen so far are either incompatible with RoM or disable both the magic and visual effect

I tried Universal [Unwanted Effects Clearer ](nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/93977) (I free typed that URL cus slow internet hope it works) but my issue with that is I gotta cast the spell everytime I enter combat or the effect shifts from the low health effect to the high health one

During combat when I gain the low health effect it becomes a red smoke which I don’t mind it’s just the shadow effect that bugs

Are there any mods to disable or replace the effect?

Is the JAR5 Dominator Good

I’ve been using the Dominator for a while now and it’s definitely fun but I’m wondering if there’s more viable options. I’ve been eyeing the scorcher cus it looks cool and I’m thinking my potato aim will like that recoil better than the dominator sending my camera towards the heavens above with each shot

Also side note, anyone use the new plasma pistol yet, maybe I can knock out the senator as my only used secondary

Truth Enforcers War Bond Releases October 31st

If there’s one thing we love here on Super Earth, it’s the truth. We’ve even got a whole Ministry dedicated to the creation, fine-tuning, and wide distribution of it. It’s about time we gave our Helldivers some Ministry of Truth-approved equipment to match our deep, enduring love of and commitment to the Truth. With these tools, you will become one of Super Earth’s official Truth Enforcers.

Being a Truth Enforcer means showing your allegiance–your loyalty–to Super Earth’s superiority as the arbiters of truth. The best way to demonstrate loyalty? By carrying the PLAS-15 Loyalist plasma pistol. Come on, it’s got “loyal” in the name already. It also allows you to shoot semi-auto style, or you can charge it up for a shot with more kick.

We have two infallible primary weapons available in Truth Enforcers, too. First up is the SG-20 Halt: a pump-action shotgun, similar to the Punisher, that can alternate between stun rounds and armor-penetrating flechette rounds. You can stun foes with accuracy and pierce through their lies with little arrows of veracity. If that’s not enough raw sincerity to take them out, you’ve also got the SMG-32 Reprimand, which is a heavy SMG. It also has a cool slap reload, just like in the accurate, true-to-life movies you love.

It’s not enough to signal your Enforcer status with weapons alone, however. You’re also going to need some new Helldrip. For our light armor loving comrades, you can tap into your bureaucratic spirit with the UF-16 Inspector in crisp, stain-free white with red accents and a coordinating cape, the “Proof of Faultless Virtue.” It’s giving overseer. Squad Leader.

But let’s say you want something a little more hefty and protective, in which case I recommend the UF-50 Bloodhound medium armor and the “Pride of the Whistleblower” cape, picking up on those deep, official-looking reds. And because we want our Helldivers to stand strong against all who oppose the truth, both of these armors have the Unflinching passive, which reduces staggering when hit.

Truth Enforcers also includes new cosmetic patterns for your hellpods, exosuits, and Pelican-1. The Inconspicuous Black Pattern looks as mysterious as it does ceremonial. Equip these and you’ll bring immediate order to the chaos of other divers in your squad. To fully walk the walk and demonstrate your commitment to Super Earth’s order to the team, you can equip the new player title, Free of Thought.

You’ll also be able to secure the At Ease emote, giving your Helldiver a stoic, commanding, order-following vibe. This Enforcer isn’t the type to laugh at all these pull-my-finger emote jokesters on the squad. You know they need proper clearance and permits for that.

Don’t worry–we didn’t forget about the booster, either. Have you ever wanted just a little bit more stamina on the battlefield? Have you ever thought, while being chased by a Terminid horde, I’d die to have just a bit more gas to go the distance. If that sounds like you, Helldiver, then I have some good news: the new Dead Sprint booster may drain your health once your stamina is at zero, but it will enable you to keep outrunning the enemy.

The spread of truth and justice across the galaxy is a big job, Helldiver, but a real Truth Enforcer has the tools and the talent to do it. The Truth Enforcers Premium Warbond* lands on October 31st!

Stupid question about tenno gen items

So I've begun the downward spiral into fashionframe after accidentally opening the cosmetic menu. Terrible jokes aside I have had my eye on some tenno gen items and I see that their not shared crossplatform. I do occasionally play on my switch (such as my lunch break at work) and my phone (usually just claiming extractors and foundry stuff when I'm out and about) but I primarily play on PC.

But my question is: if I buy a tenno gen item on PC and equip it, then play on my switch, would the item be unequipped when I return to my pc or will it just not be equipped on my switch and then be equipped on PC? Hopefully my ramblings make sense.

Then if I am absolutely in love with a tenno gen cosmetic and am insane enough to buy it twice- are purchases between mobile and switch shared because all my plat is unavailable on my switch but is there on mobile

Any tips for grinding out wisp prime

First off wanted to thank everyone who chimed in on my last post I feel like I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark.

But I've started to grind towards wisp prime while progressing my start chart using this wiki to see what relics I need and where to get them, but I've been having bad luck

I got one of my friends to help me earlier during a void fissure mission but still no luck opening getting the blueprints

I'm sitting on a radiant relic that has the blueprint for wisp but I'm holding off on opening it in case there's something I can do to further increase my shot on getting the gold tier wisp blueprint

New Player Advice

Like in the title I’m a new player and just looking for some advice. Back in 2018 when discord offered game I played then but really on started the fortuna quest and ofc the earth dungeons to get there. I just did the fortuna quest where thursby becomes legs and then a few dungeon quests. I also let the impulsive thoughts win and bought the gauss warframe and have been having fun with it :). I also got 3 relics from defending a cryopod, look like mossy orbs but I opened them when a mission had this swooshy icon over it (idk how to describe it) and I collected 10 rift thingys each to open them. I have no idea what I did but I got blueprints so I’m assuming I did something right

But any friendly tips? Is there any particular area (like free roam vs dungeons) I should be focusing on. Is there more than one story quest line per planet In free roam like the one with the iron rose in the box on earth or the aforementioned fortuna quest

I’m just kinda going from place to place progressing though dungeons but I lost and just feel like I’m kinda stumbling forward in the dark with no goal other than just go here and give em the ol swish swish stab stab bow l chicka bow wow

Edit: forgot to mention back when I briefly played in 2018 through discord I played Sayrin to Sayron, the disease or fungus idk one simply because poison damage seemed nice among other obvious reasons, but is she any good to play compared to gauss prime

Pokemon TCG Card Distribution?

First off if this isn’t the right place to post or there’s a better community to throw this in please let me know.

Now off to the post. Me and my GF got into the whole ttrpg and card game and actually have money to do so

Anyways this whole silly adhd interest between us made me dig up my pokemon cards (binder form when I was in elementary school and decks I built like a couple years ago)

My distribution of my decks is 30/15/15

Now whether this is Pokemon/energy/items I honestly don’t remember. But is it a good distribution or would I want to to less uniform numbers like 28/12/20

If I do where should I start deck building cus honestly I bet I have decent cards but absolutely terrible synergy between cards and stuff
