It had a fairly normal sort of living room, bedroom and bathroom, but the kitchen had been made out of the original hallway leading to the back of the house, with all the appliances and countertops lined up on one side with barely a foot and a half between them and the wall. The fridge and oven doors could not be fully opened.
Oh man, I love crazy stairs. Ridiculously dangerous and extremely ADA uncompliant, but whimsical and playful.

If I had to guess which country this came from, I'd guess Belgium based on my experience. Craziest staircases I've ever seen.
