I can't wear the stupid "I voted" sticker. Because they stick it to the mail in ballot instead.

Granted, I was going to slap it onto one of my parent’s shiny kitchen appliances and make jokes about it being a mistake to let them have WiFi…. But still…..

Eh. “I can’t even [bother/deal/care]” is a perfectly grammatical expression of dismay.

Though I also like to say “I could care less. ( but that takes too much effort.)”

They meant they cant "WEAR" the sticker because its already been stuck on the paper it came with

Not much of a story really, just about a decade of it suggesting something completely different from what I was trying for.

When you go to vote, they give you an “I voted” sticker- pictured here.

When you do mail in voting, they give you a sticker with the ballot (sent out in the mail.).

That sticker this year was already stuck/used- on the ballot instructions- also pictured here (the back, to be precise.)
