Depends on the state. Illinois eliminated cash bail in 2023. You're only held pending trial if you're a threat to the community or a flight risk (to be determined at a hearing by a judge). A few other states have made changes to their bail laws to reduce the number of arrestees who are required to post cash bail as well.
OP is probably also trying to draw a connection between Combs and Epstein, who is said to have committed suicide in his cell,but in suspicious circumstances including a lack of video surveillance that should have been there.
