Opossum are marsupials. In fact, the Virginia Opossum is the only native marsupial in its area! They can also shove an impressive chunk of their upper body into their own pouch if needed.
A guy I knew in university had a skunk. I guess a vet can remove their scent glands. It seemed like an OK pet. Friendly, clean.
Raccoons on the other hand. My dad brought home a couple of babies whose mom had been roadkill. One died, but the other grew into a forty-pound monster that would try and climb on everyone's shoulders and would bite everyone except my dad and me sometimes. Super cute pain in the ass. She ran away when she was in heat.
So did you give in and start feeding them? Or did it evolve into a war, which you lost by moving somewhere else?
