Hokhai, so. Here is the Earth…

Fkn iconic. I still sometimes catch myself dropping phrases from this video mid conversation with people who may not necessarily understand the reference. One of my fondest memories in life is watching this for the first time, sitting with my little brother. We both cracked it so hard. Must have hit repeat a few times.

Goddamn how old is this video now? I remember watching it on some wacky ass website full of silly videos because YouTube hadn't been invented yet.

So old that it wasn't a video at all, it was a Macromedia Flash Animation!

Video hosting sites didn't really start to exist until Stage8 had a go with their DivX stuff, and eventually YouTube popped up a few years later too :-D

I had forgotten about Macromedia. I liked Dreamweaver before Adobe got its hands on it.

That's a bit of internet history literally no one in my life would be interested in or care to hear in the slightest (except my partner who I just tried to convey what I remembered, but will give a better overview after reading some articles if I can find any. They remember the sites but don't remember the drama)

Do you remember Fredryk Phox? And the drama between with him and ebaumsworld?

3

Hahaha, yeah. Even friends in my age range didn't really care.

Was Phox one of the Goons who made some of the anti ebaumsworld flash videos? I only remember the line of "And then Lowtax came along, punched him in the face and banged his moooooom."

Iconic, I remember the good old flash, I still have it somewhere I'm sure

This one and the “driving truck down the road toll booth loop” flash live rent free in my head

You reached the end
