Silence from the small group that hates spez would be filled by the majority that don't care.
I don't use Reddit anymore now that I'm happily on Lemmy, but I would be open to contributing to the vandalism of /r/place since it would make my displeasure visible to the news sites reporting on the event.
People boycotting Reddit completely are a tiny minority compared to the total active userbase of Reddit, so stressing about engagement with the publicly editable canvas is probably a bit excessive, especially since it offers the opportunity to get the word out further
Sounds like something spez would say.
Fuck spez
do you think that we can force reddit to shut down the r/place by writing "fuck spez" everywhere?
What? Fuck spez
Fuck spez, and fuck anyone defending spez.
Fuck u/spez and the rodent he rode in on.
Lies. Reddit on PlayStore was 3.8 around the API change announcement.
It's 3.0 today.
So spez can eat my 🍆 as well.
in Germany it was around 3.7 or so and now is 2.7
I think OP has a point...silence and no traffic would be a better weapon against Spez...he already knows we hate him.

literally 1984
I don't know, I'm sure a potential investor would do a little bit more research than just look at total engagement numbers and that's it.
You are not wrong.
I meant at least on the Play Store.
I did spell it fuk to avoid triggering Google police. It's a shame we can't rate 0 stars, or petition for removal. Haha.
