Had the same weather when I went on vacation in the alps, the one time we saw the mont blanc was when we arrived back home because we have a view of the whole mountain range...
One of the best moments I had when I walked around Mont Blanc was when we came to a col on a foggy day and passed a group of Japanese tourists just as the fog lifted and you could see the fantastic view. They burst out oh and an-ing snd even laughing while they thanked the relieved guide.
Dangerous game if the ball gets away from you you'll be looking for it for a long while
Nah gravity will bring it back down.
