The actual scene is very funny too.

SELA: Come in, gentlemen. Take a seat, please. (she continues working on a PADD) Excuse me, I'm just finishing up a speech. For you, Mister Spock. I rather enjoy writing. I don't get to do it often in this job.

DATA: Perhaps you would be happier in another job.

I always remembered TNG as being very stiff. But I've been rewatching several episodes with a friend lately, and I was surprised how many subtle jokes are in there.

I had the same experience when I rewatched it a few years ago. I realized that I missed a lot of wink and nod jokes the first time around.

Somehow this led to a vision of Q saying “Schuck it, Picard! Schuck it long, and schuck it hard.”

James Kirk: [buzzes in] Marta the Orion.

Alex Trebek: What?

James Kirk: Marta the Orion, Rayna Kapec, and Carol Marcus twice.

Alex Trebek: That's space FLICKS, Captain Kirk.

Do you think anyone ever referred to her as Yasha Tar after the "incident"?

Did you know if you say:

Yasha Tar
Yasha Tar
Yasha Tar

into a mirror in the dark, a Tar monster will materialize in your bathroom?

The only that that happened to me was a “tar monster” in my pants because my kid burst in unexpectedly.

Damn, Data. Why don't you just phaser her right in the face if you're going to say shit like that!
