This is mostly done with brush strokes and blending in Affinity photo 1.8. Haven't done any real art in dozens of years. I'm happy with how this turned out.

Very nice, I definitely couldn't do it better! Maybe if I could give some constructive feedback: The color you used for the shadows in the face is very desaturated and on the fist glance it looks a bit like there's dirt on her face. 😅 So maybe just use a darker skin color for those areas?
But again, looks very nice and I couldn't do it any better. Especially the eyes look great!
Thanks for the pointer. I recolored a bit and updated based on your suggestion. I also reframed too just because it felt a little unfocused.

The wings are pretty
