Types of Non-Monogamy Enormous Euler Diagram
I wanted to include links to other related communities in this community. I was trying to come up with terms for all these related relationship types, and then I remembered that this venn existed. I've seen numerous versions of this previously. I was going to correct you but you're actually right. The term for this is a Euler diagram. I think they're more useful.

I'm pretty sure "intentionally over complicating things for entertainment" overlaps significantly with most forms of "Non-monogamy", and with "the human experience". ;-) The pertinent question is, which of these rectangles/ explanatory examples fits for a given person, and which one's don't? I believe this diagram was developed to help us understand where we fit in the poly-schema we've developed.

Solo polyamory, relationship anarchy, and hierarchical stuff I think need to be better represented.
I avoid a lot of stuff I consider to be hierarchical nonsense. Stuff like "I need permission from my other partner for stuff I do with you". Anything with "veto power" is right out.
Con sex is probably over represented? I don't know if that deserves a whole bubble on its own. Seems like a more specific instance of something else.

I know, huh! I'm sure there are other venn diagrams, memes, infographics that make understanding complex topics like open human relationships so much easier. As our consciousness changes, more information dense ways of communicating about our relationships will naturally come into use.
