Would you consider Earth's moon an amateur satellite or a professional? I mean, she's been doing it for a really long time. But IDK if she does it as a hobby or to pay the bills.

The community from the old place is pretty active, I wish more of them would flow over here.
I think the top post here has a few hundred upvotes, and the average upvote count is ~20, but people gonna go where they feel they will get the most engagement.
Because it's mine and it's empty now as I had to wipe my lemmy server (it never worked OK, super sluggish, the federation was skipping more and more, and the database was over 10GB).
I mainly used the other site for niche microinterests, but because Fedi itself is so niche too, that means the venn diagram doesn't have enough overlap to sustain these communities. And sadly I'm not sure if it ever will.
!Asian has a grand total of 2 posts, ever, 1 of which was 10 months ago. It's not going to get more active when there isn't even a seed of activity to begin with.

Problem is, that it doesn't have any description, no moderators, no rules.
I'm not Asian myself but lived in several Asian countries and I am interested. I don't know if this place is meant for Asian people only or for Asian news or a general interest in Asia or just another place for Asian only fans accounts??
Someone has to take it on and make it a community, a place to hang out and share stuff.
As long as one person is active in the community, it still lives for another day.

I'm honestly surprised to see how large the Splatoon community on the Fediverse is. I've seen a pretty big presence on Mastodon, as well.
