That was fun. If you like double moves, moves under braking, track limit violations, etc

Great race imo. Bummer the fight at the front ended in trouble like that, but it was very exciting!

13

Well the stewards won't be deciding one and two now.

I think I'm just gonna take a nap. Wake me up when someone calls a safety car.

I actually walked to the supermarket to get some chips and stuff and when I returned the gap was 0.5.

Norris and Verstappen = Rosberg and Hamilton, but in different teams.

Verstappen has turned into Hamilton and Lando has taken his role

Lewis became conflict avoidant in his later years, Max is willing to crash still. Different styles of defending.

Max's defending today was just 'oh let me veer left so you crash into me'

4

Very entertaining combined with Lando's "you can't react to my move!" complaining.

3

Feel like Leclerc and Alonso both did 5 stops for some reason.

Man, I really would have liked to see how that battle between verstappen and Norris turned out on track. Max is defending too aggressive. But even if Lando would have come through, he would have had to make up his track limits penalty. This is really disappointing.

I agree. I am a Max fan but not when he drives like this. I really hoped the “old” Max was a thing of the past but it seems he pops back up under extreme pressure.

Nah, Max never matured. He just stopped being challenged. If he’s challenged, he reverts to full asshole. “I win or we crash.”

Verstappen 10s penalty is not enough for costing lando the race that he would have won

Lando still had that 5 second penalty for track limits, he might have got around max but who knows if he could’ve built a 5 second gap in like 5-6 laps

Max also had a potential penalty pending for not giving the position back that he gained off the track. At least Jolyon Palmer thought so

3

Ended up not getting that, though we’ll never know if he might have had he not hit Lando

It’s absolutely insane to me that they penalised a driver for locking up and handing the position back. What’s the point of racing?

It should’ve been clear to a driver of his calibre that he wasn’t making that move, and even if he didnt realize that.. he had gone off three time already when F1 drivers are supposed to be of the calibre to stay on track. Once during a dive isn’t a big deal, the problem is he’d already gone off three times.

These guys should be able to stay in the lines at the peak of Motorsport and driving for millions of € a year

If you’re opinion is to follow the letter of the law in that sense, how do you feel Verstappen didn’t even get a warning let alone a penalty for moving under braking?

1

He should’ve, feel like he didn’t only because the wreck happened, that they penalized him for, and his race was hampered enough that they didn’t add more on. Sometimes the stewards act like if your race is ruined due to X then they don’t need to enforce Y. I’m not sure I agree there

2

Now he has a grid penalty instead (I think)

1

Unlucky for max that a bolt wouldn't fasten and then Norris was there so he couldn't drive off.

Perez had a 5s penalty so 8s is decent considering.

You reached the end
