Mod here.

We're not looking for accidental photos, as in "I yeeted my phone and accidentally captured A Renaissanceβ„’", because those mostly don't exist.

We're looking for well-composed photos that, as the photographer was pursuing a nice photo, also accidentally copied the rules of Renaissance painting, which does sometimes overlap (as a happenstance) with the fundamentals of good photography.

We remove a shitload of photos that are objectively gorgeous and technically astute, but don't look like paintings, so trust me, there's a difference.

You're probably joking but since my internet sarcasm detector blew up I still feel obliged to tell you, its probably rather about the foreground versus background.

How is this limited to Russia?

Go out in any major city within the US, multi million dollar condos in a tall building, homeless person begging out front.

Fuck Russia, but this is not a Russia issue... this is everybody's issue. I guess this sort of thing makes it easier for normies to cope.

I don't think the title is limiting the problem to Russia, but rather describing the contents of the photo

It's amazing how people do this online. They invent a whole new meaning and intention for something and then get mad at their invention. I mean I know that's basically straw man, but it's still funny.
