Chemistry? Green? Wtf. Green is obviously biology! Chemistry is yellow. There, I said it! Good day to you, sir!

29

Science is green no matter the subject. But yeah, math is definitely always blue.

10

I'm glad this is the most upvoted answer, because all the other responses here are completely psychotic.

Civilization V says science is blue, and I absolutely agree

45

I was thinking green, but than I realized that's biology for sure

lemmy.world

You got science right, but math is blue because it's cold and calculating while English is red because it's full of passion and life

14

Fuck. Everytime a comment persuades me, the next does it again. Good call on red, hadn't thought about it that way. English was totally that, stories. I thought math was blue bc they are my favorites respective to their categories but you make a good point. I'm only cold and calculating apx 30% of the time.

3

Nah red represents the fury of dropping a negative, and blue is the sorrow of having to write with awful handwriting that stopped improving after 3rd grade

1

Tbh, I don't feel as strong about social studies/history. If I had to pick though, probably yellow because I mostly of dirt roads, roman gold, and the pyramids and those all feel yellow. But History is so subjective on what you take from it that you could probably make an argument for any color

1

English is red because it's full of passion and life

Heathen. Math is blue. English is.. 🤔.. hmm.. yellow maybe? Or is that social studies? Hmm.. SS is more beige/tan than yellow. This thread is really affecting my life.

3

I think social studies is certainly yellow.

Who would have thought it would be such a divisive topic

6

English is red, French is blue, Spanish is yellow, etc. Doesn't matter if it's language arts or a second language.

1

This was it exactly in my head as well, there was no question.

Just said this exact thing to my wife.

Orange is PE

Pink is Art

Purple is History

2

What is in a PE folder? I don't even remember having pockets in our short shorts.

I was thinking purple for art earlier, but I can roll with pink.

History and SS is more monochrome to me like a tan or cream.

Color match it to the primary color of the subjects text book

Math - Blue

Science - Green

English - Red

Social Studies - Yellow

Good night.

20

So close, but you got social studies and English the wrong way round, they go in rainbow order corresponding to the science-to-art spectrum.

Green for biology, blue for maths or physics and orange for chemistry

Red for English, brown for history, yellow for geography because green was taken.

I had the one with the kitties!! I was o b s e s s e d with Lisa Frank. Now I have them in crocs for festivals.

8

If you're a student: Green. If you're a researcher: Blue. If you're tenured; Purple, Pink, or Orange. If you're a US Defence Contractor: Red.

Math is red. Science is blue or green. Depends on the type. Although chem is yellow if there is one. Orange is geography or history.

14
lemmy.ca

Science green, English yellow, math red. I don't make the rules I just follow them.

12

Science (incl math) is green. Blue is geography. Orange is sports. Pink is Entertainment. Art and Literature apparently can be either purple or brown. You're still missing yellow for history.

9

Madness. Science and maths are clearly different colours you lunatic. Science is blue, maths is green.

3

Wait you guys had folders for sports? (Also red is language arts)

1

Science is blue because in every 4x game I've ever played the science icons are some form of blue.

My Brother in Christ, WTF is a sCiEnCe?

Is this a US thing? Does it cover the entirety of chemistry, biology and physics (and maybe maths or geography)?

6

Are you just being a pedant or are you serious?

Pretty sure when I was in school in the UK we had Science: Chemistry. Etc. the colon pretty wild bro.

4

Science is blue (dark blue, if given the option).

Math is red or black.

English is green.

Social studies is yellow.

Everything else goes in whatever is left.

5

Science was green

Also math was my favorite subject, and red is my favorite color, so math was red

4

The amount of time I spent before clicking and seeing comments, to ensure no outside influence... Long. ND long. 🥁🥁🥁 Green.

3

Green = bio / blue = my language / red = math / black = french / black = english / yellow = german / orange = geography / purple = history / other stuff a folder with flowers / stars on it.

Those colors I used in my last year off high school.

I will drop death befor I use a pink one.

3

Math is red, Language is yellow, History is orange, Science is blue OR green depending on the focus (physical science is blue, biology is green), Music is purple, though I was a band kid so I usually used the bigger music folders you got from the instrument shop. Art is whatever color science isn't because I'm not going to use the folder anyway and the sketchbook is always either a painting or brown.

I could also hear arguments for switching math and language.

3

Lunatics, all of you. The correct answer is:

  • Science: Blue
  • English: Green
  • Math: Yellow
  • History: Red

In reverse order of the memorability of historical names, of course.

2

Maths - Blue Physics - IDFK, red? Purple? Chemistry - A different Blue Biology - Green Geography - Orange... or Green again.

2
startrek.website

In college for me it was:

  • Gray - physics
  • Blue - chemistry
  • Black - biology
  • Green or orange - math
  • Red - French

what foolish regionalism are you universalizing now

Apparently the answer's green, I mean I would have gone with blue (star trek science officers, for one thing) but whatever, why would it matter except in an unnecessarily strict conformist-centric education system... is this American bullshit I'm smelling?

edit: ooh this is accumulating downvotes fast, I've hit a nerve i see, let me help..

English is a language, not a color moron. Maybe try going to school before you assume something, ok?

-21

I had no intention of spelling "I'm a bitch." Perhaps you should reflect upon yourself before making assumptions on others.
