A 3D print, 8 years in the making
Printed an 8 year old hacked Kinect 3D scan of myself, now I finally have a printer to do it!

Pretty cool. I imagine this is very satisfying.
A bit more artistic than the original scan
That's very cool. I feel like it would have been slightly more "welcoming" looking if you'd been able to keep a little more detail around the mouth, maybe even just a line intimating lips. But this was a very cool project.
I have fantasies of getting a copy of the file the next time my dentist does a 3D scan of my mouth for a night guard or something. He confirmed it will output an STL file. (But he wasn't willing to do "just for fun")
Yeah, the decimation in the low poly app was particularly aggressive around the mouth! The original scan of course was not a huge resolution, and I had glasses on which was a mistake. Came out ok for my vanity purposes though :-)
