Ah right, it's the dems that are stopping this from happening. /s

It's one of the big campaign promises of Bernie and the party shut him down twice. I wonder why.

1

The move comes just days after House Republicans introduced a bill to rename Washington Dulles International Airport after the former president.

Ah, this is supremely petty from both sides. Utterly american this shit.

44

Trump should demand they rename DCA after him instead

3

It actually is the job of the House to submit names for federal buildings and such.

For everyone saying it's a waste of time by the Democrats, there's more serious work to do, etc, etc - until a Democrat becomes Speaker, Moscow Mike is going to continue to prevent any real work from getting done.

The House passes normally over 400 bills each year, post WW2. Last year, it was barely 30. Most of those were "culture war" bullshit symbolic bills.

As long as the Republican chucklefucks run the House, nothing serious will get done.

Because obstruction and stochastic terrorism is all they know how to do, there’s no plan for improving anything in citizens’ lives. We had the same problem during Obama’s administration, everyone with an R by their name gleefully announced they would block any and all progress just to spite the libs. We should be building more guillotines

Remember the Republican platform in the 2020 election. It was one page that said, "We oppose Obama." That was their entire platform.

They've definitely earned the victory lap, with justice having been so thoroughly served!

Oh wait, they're fucking morons. Do your jobs and leave this nonsense to Fox News.

There's the landfill dump site on the turnpike just south of Glades Rd. Lets get that named "The Trump Dump".

If a prison is named after a Trump, does it go bankrupt?

This is the hoity toity substance less bullshit that is disenfranchising liberals.

I see what they did there.

Conservatives, and Trump, LOVE the idea.

The troll doesn't work if the target wants the troll. And the move shows they are spending time resting on their laurels and being snarky instead of supporting their constituents.

A law reducing incarceration for petty crimes? No. Ensuring proper nutrition and Healthcare for the incarcerated? No. Putting another notch on Trumps belt to inflate Trumps ego, increase his visibility, and fire up his army of dolts? You betcha!

But it was totally meant to be ironic and won't totally backfire on them.

did you see the article about the lady that had fallen out of her prison rack bed (while sleeping,), broken her neck and they were like 'oh, naw. she faking' for three days while dragging her around and being like "why you no move?"

Troglodytes treat their prisoners better.

I saw that.

I have been inundated with TikToks as of late of Americans sharing their stories as Millenials suffering from life threatening conditions and/or crippling pain conditions and doctors saying "I don't believe you" when they really meant to say "you have no hope of ever affording that level of treatment".

No wonder both sides can unify on banning unfettered sharing of life experience, taking SuperPac donos in the process, instead of doing their jobs and giving us medicine and humane living conditions.

The for profit prison industry just ramps that shortfall up a millionfold.

But prisons have lobby firms to bribe politicians, and Healthcare "providers" have lobby firms to bribe politicians.

But hey, what can you do. Citizens United says "a dollar is a vote" and as long as that stands, no matter the ink mark we make on the ballot, none of them will overturn Citizens United.

Silent sit ins and peaceful inactive protest has a long history of having an impact against greed and vitriol of those who spew hate and inflict hate on those not represented by governing bodies.

I feel like he would love his name on a prison

Yessss performative politics wooo!! That’s what everyone loves! Don’t mind that Joe Biden funded 34 billion dollars into hiring 100,000 more cops himself, Orange man bad am I right!?!?

Really though, this shit sucks and it’s designed to impress like, your aunt on Facebook. No one wins from shit like this. No citizen of the United States has their life improved by this. It just builds resentment to people already having doubts on your party

Yes!

(I get the jest that he did not personally take 34 billion out of his venmo account, but this is about as close as it comes to a president personally funding something)

((Also turns out it’s more like 37 billion.))

-4

Do you fall for everything a politician says to you so easily? When republicans name their anti abortion the “protecting young Americans act” do you go “wow! They just want to protect young Americans!”

It’s a massive funding bill for 100,000 cops. You cannot possibly be so brainwashed that you think everything the Democratic Party does is good. That’s just being a fascist

Please outline the mental gymnastics to connect police funding to name a prison to mock someone? I don't see how this has anything to do with the conversation other than a deflecting right winger that needs to compare Trump to Biden just like every right winger does.

It would be so nice to have a conversation above a teenager level of debate. Where the bouncing ball actually made sense where it bounces.

The 100,000 cops and 37 billion dollars in policing/surveillance will throw many, many people into prisons. Some of them guilty, many of them, who knows. Many of them on minor charges.

Is that an okay outline

Kinda missing a few steps. But sure. Let's include schools and fire departments too. Since it's all part of "society".

They don't throw them into prisons. The courts do that. They do play their part for sure. But that still doesn't connect how supporting the police is the same as mocking Trump.

I dunno man. If you can’t see how 100,000 more cops deserves getting a prison named after you I can’t help

-1

Yea. I'm not getting how Biden's help = mocking Trump. I have been asking from the beginning.

You reached the end
