Carole and Tuesday has some great music, but it does take a turn for the dramatic as the season goes on. It features such non-slice of life things as political corruption, terrorism, xenophobia, etc. Still a great music anime, but it's not just a comfy, music-focused SOL.

I haven't seen this one yet. Judging from the MAL genre tag, this will has more drama elements than the shows you mentioned.

Musically it's very different (concert band), but Hibike! Euphonium remains my favourite music anime.
