It's Saturday! What are you doing at the same time as browsing Lemmy?

I’m watching Love on the Spectrum with my husband (great show!), eating a coconut popsicle, and petting one of my dogs. It’s a great Saturday night in my book :)

Thanks. I've always been trained on the idea it's done based on colour, with each day being a different colour (prevents it from affecting other loads), which also explains what I wear each day (I never break the commonalities).

It's Sunday afternoon here... Just finished watching Beyond Paradise Season 1, now chilling on the couch. Life is good.

Playing Splatoon with my girlfriend and death scrolling inbetween matches lol

It's like dominoes but each tile has 6 sides and instead of pips you try to match terrain features like water, houses, trees, etc. So as you play, you end up building a map that keeps growing. There are little quests to complete too. My map currently contains 14,234 tiles.

I enjoy playing it because I can listen to podcasts while doing so, which I can't do with my other "currently playing" game, Horizon Zero Dawn.

A really cozy puzzle game. I dislike puzzle games in general, but this one is outstanding.

If you like the show, you’ll love the movie it’s based on—Love, directed by Gaspar Noe. No need to look it up, just go in blind. You can trust me, I’m a random stranger on the internet.

Thank you, kind stranger. I am sure your suggestion is very wholesome and won’t at all get me in trouble. I’m going to gather my 4 young children and watch “Love.”

I just set up Boost for Lemmy ( ![email protected] ) on one of my two tablets after setting it up on my phone a few days ago, and I specifically wanted to join on 18 March to have the day and months of my Lemmy World and Beehaw accounts sync up with that of my Reddit account due to the sentimental value of my Reddit cake day date (::: spoiler spoiler 18 March 2018, a date which marked the occurrence of the first of many events that changed my life forever and allowed me to open up :::). I find it cool that there's Casual Conversation on Lemmy World, and I just discovered it by accident while browsing local content. I have Boost successfully set up on my Xperia (phone) and Galaxy Tab (tablet 1), and I need to then set it up on my Boox (tablet 2). I'm still getting to grips with Lemmy post and comment formatting being a bit different from that of Reddit, including how spoiler text works and the ability to embed images directly in comments, but I'm sure I'll eventually be able to adjust when I'm not stuck with work.

Other than that, I'm mostly just watching YouTube videos and working on personal projects, including organising my ideas and preparing for an event I'm attending. I'm still swamped in unorganised ideas as I'd often not have the time, but some other unrelated things led to me being able to perform better than my 2018-2022 self.

That’s awesome! It’s nice when you can look back and see how you’ve grown better. I hope you like it here!

I'm migrating my homeserver from my old Debian install to proxmox right now, it's become too janky and I hope to fix that with a clean rebuild. Wish me luck it's rebooting right now.

Somewhat. I have a lxc container with a pinhole, but I have networking problems. The container has Internet now but I'm struggling to publish ports to my LAN.

Iptables broke me yesterday

I wish I knew what all of that meant and could help. Alas, I am technologically a potato. So I will just say "best of luck" and let you know I believe in your ability to figure it out!

That's totally alright, I know that I'm a computer freak. I actually managed to beat iptables and get it to work, thanks for your wishes.

You're a pretty good techno potato if you managed to get on the fediverse, good on you. Recommendation: Use a password manager if you don't already it makes everything a lot easier for you and vastly improves your security. Have a good time :)

2

Thank you, I guess I am a tech potato compared to the rest of people of fediverse. I appreciate the tip!

Went to a Dave and Busters with my friends, got hella overstimulated but also played Halo and Rampage and some other stuffs. Ate pretzels and strawberry shortcake. Came home to watch cdramas and pass out. It was a good day.

Partner and I are just about to have a nice rainy drive to the weed store, then it's home to snuggle and watch movies together.

I went to the weed store earlier! The coconut popsicle is the resulting munchie, lol.

Went to the weed store (my mailbox) yesterday - now we're almost out of Oreos. Went to a drag show tonight. Fun!

3

I love drag shows! But the Oreo situation is dicey, better get more.

2

I love snuggles and movies with my husband. If you guys enjoy dark, violent, and mysterious, we watched Black Death on a whim tonight and enjoyed it a lot. The movie really surprised both of us.

I have the Jim Cornette podcast playing in the background, and I'm making homemade pizza dough/sauce and the corresponding pizza.

Checking in with Lemmy from time to time.

2

Homemade dough AND sauce? That's impressive! I do the dough but use store-bought sauce cause lazy. Share the pizza pic when it's done, I want to drool!

Watching the end of the grand prix, waiting for post-race interviews. Might game after.

That sounds like the kind of adventure where you finally get home a bit grumpy, get some hot cocoa and a blanket, then laugh about it together.

LOL at children consenting to eat soup being a big deal. I totally get it. I don't think my son was ever really into soup unless it's ramen. So, it's impressive they were that hungry!

I played some Space Engineers. Fun game but so really wish I had friends that played.

2

Games can be more fun with friends for sure. Hopefully you find someone to play with!

I used to go to a Unitarian Universalist church, and I’m an atheist. It’s just a bunch of old hippies being accepting of everyone, we had a good time.
