Even though many states were concerned they were happy to consider EU acceptance until this prick showed up and flagrantly violated every principle the EU stands for.
I'm living in Turkey. Turkey (Türkiye) have many refugees (as far as i know 6 millions + more) . The economy is terrible. I think Turkish lira is the most worthless currency in the world at the moment. So why should the European Union take us into its union?
why would Turkey want it? More people will flee the country to other European countries, EU multinationals will compete the living shit out of the local companies. I don’t see much benefit for Turkey to join, while they are this economically weak (no offense)
What would it take to expel a nato member? Hungary and Turkey are pretty crappy additions to the alliance. They're strategically important, but at some point they could be more detrimental than helpful.

yes you'r right. If i'm in EU i don't want Turkey. It's sad but it's real..

To my recollection there is unfortunately no mechanism within NATO for expelling members.
Someone needs to get fired for that
