Questions Thread
I miss the community on reddit. I thought I'd make a questions thread - If you have a question, ask it here, and I'll try my best to answer, even if simply linking the wiki.
If you can answer questions, kindly sort by "New" and try and help out

Hello @dwarffortress from @DwarfFortress!
We are auto-federating anything with #dwarffortress and #bay12games
I've subscribed to your instance of a dwarffortress magazine as well, and look forward to seeing what federated content is all about! Strike the earth!
Just wanted to say hi!
hello!
I find it some what amazing that bay12forums does not support https encryption :D How is this even possible?
That website was created in 2006 and never edited.
(I'm exaggerating, but for real, the dude doesn't have the time/bandwidth to give his forum an overhaul)
Good idea. I've not had as much time to play recently as life has been getting in the way but I'm currently working on a fortress of dreaming spires, vaulting bridges and a river cataract.
I mean, that's the plan for it anyway, currently it's just some boxy bedrooms in a cliff.
I've always wanted to build a fortress where there are two huge doors in a cliff face to get in, kind of like LOTR, statues up the side. Not sure how I'd actually go about doing that but it's good to dream!
Mmmm, I love that style fortress. I envisioned making one by finding a deep river canyon, and burrowing into the side, with a wagon ramp carved into the canyonside.
