Picture from my road trip to Berlin, NV, USA
Berlin and Ione just next to it are two abandoned towns from the gold rush era. I went on this solo road trip about 4 years ago.
I got so lucky with the clouds that day. They're ridiculously picturesque.

Beautiful picture. Were the towns completely abandoned, or were there still a few people living there?
Thanks! Berlin was deserted, and the sign at Ione said Population: 3, and while I didn't see anyone there, I did see a potted flower on a window sill that was clearly being watered.
